What Good is Love, To a Heart Made of Stone?
You break me down yet again
Just so it will build you up
My heart breaks, my mind cracks
My fears and pain spill out
You laugh, while still looking perfect
I’m slowly breaking into pieces
From an endless battle
Of torment, and manipulative destruction
Burning all remnants of the girl I was
To make a new daughter
Who is obedient and bows down before you
But I’m blocking out your voice
So it doesn’t make my ears bleed anymore
So your toxicity does not infiltrate
My body and soul
This poem is about:
My family
