What The Fuck

Wed, 07/16/2014 - 16:29 -- Whesley

Captivity:
we are all prisoners.
Bound
by chains of words
shackled to old books,
choked by leashes tethered
to badges held by those
in

Power:
defined by its abuses.
Unseen
until used against
the people who rebel,
claiming their right
to

Freedom:
an illusion.
Quoted
as ours unless
the words in books
are crossed,
their leashes drag us
to

Duality:
absolution and punishment.
Held
rigid by the leashes as
gladiators in suits
clash with words,
fighting over
our

Judgement:
innocence or guilt.
Deliberated
by a man(or woman) on
a bench,
holding a wooden
hammer that changes
your

Life:
a lie.
Lived
as a prisoner convinced
of his freedom while,
existing in lockup of words in books,
the only escape
is

Death:
true freedom.
Departed
the ultimate lie,
for one chance
at the only
truth.
