What about the Storybooks?

Thu, 10/03/2019 - 12:33 -- bennell

Remember looking through the picture books,

Where all the colors swirled on the page in every nook,

Out the window to look,

At the old wasteland that was once like the story,

Fairytales they are, but also the past

One day this bleak world will turn to that wasteland.

Look!

Look!

Over there the once painted grass green,

Now shriveled and dried no longer that spring green,

Where are the colors the ones that was once told?
Where is the blue that is now foggy and grey?
What about the birds that chirp all day?

What has this place become?

All the greed and money took our world away,

Coal replaced solar,

And solar obsolete,

Please, everyone make a difference!

Better late than never.

We may lose our world forever,

Another thing may be the species that all die,

Don’t overlook.

Where are the colors from the storybooks?
