Western "civilization"

Micah 3:11 New English Translation (NET Bible)

11 Her leaders take bribes when they decide legal cases,
her priests proclaim rulings for profit,
and her prophets read omens for pay.
Yet they claim to trust the Lord and say,
“The Lord is among us.
Disaster will not overtake us!”

Western "civilization"

Look at the world today. What do you see my brethren?

Is justice abhorred and seems to grow as an item for sale?

Has a bribe developed as an accepted a common thing?

Has money taken a prominent rule and released us on bail?

Postpone the trial, my sisters, for there are few left without guilt

In our chosen ways most laws are ignored and slyly bastardized

“The devil made me do it”, we embroider permanently on our quilt

The one that covers our day and night as we attempt to normalize

No harm can come upon us. We’re one nation under God

We are a very special lot called the land of the free indeed

We rise above the world surely they are envious of us

Yes we will teach the truth toward all these wannabees
