Wealth and a Dream

Let us go you, and I.

To the land of the free Where freedom sways in the quenched air Or so they say.

They once said anyone could reach their dream, At the exception of the people.

The working class is lifeless.

Swarming for the dream that is too distant, For inferior individuals.

Bountiful, vibrant, free colors that once soared Asphyxiated the dream till it was no more.

For the working class.

For the middle class.

The bloodless American dream.

This poem is about:
My community
My country
