We Stand Tall

We are all fragile and we will fall

But there is strength in numbers and together we stand tall

We get hurt and we will bleed

Yet we will rise to our knees

Hand in hand we strive to be free

Apart we work so hard for what is right

Yet looming failure haunts us through each night

We divide our society into fractions

We place ourselves on roads with no traction

In pieces we lay lost and broken

Because apart our truths will not be spoken

Scattered about our words are weak

We must join together to give a roaring speech

Alone we may fall but together we stand tall

We will not back down for we are tired of screwing around

The time is now for our voice to be heard

We are done hiding, of that you can be sure

You and I and him and her

We are done with the years of torture

We are fragile and we will fall

But there is strength in numbers and together we stand tall

On his own a child breaks bone

He scrapes knees when on his own

We break apart when we fall but together we stand tall
