We the People

We close our eyes to the unjust visions

We close our ears to the cries for help

               the cries of pain

We shut our doors to our brothers and sisters

We shut out the rest of the world

                have we no shame?

A virus has taken over ' We the people'

We are sick, we have forgotton

We are blind leading the blind

We are lost,  in denial

We are full of fear

But we can be strong willed, with hearts open

We are leaders,  we are tolerant

We are african, hispanic, caucasion, indian.

We are muslims, buddhists, and christians

We are gay, straight, and in between

We are flesh, bones

Skin and soul

We are sweat, flaws

Veins and scars

We are all human
