We are loud.

We are told to speak up,

let our voices be heard.

They tell us this

in a loudness that overpower.

We are told to stand up

to speak for our rights.

But don't they hear us already?

Can't they hear our anger, our cries?

They tell us if we want change,

we need to start igniting it.

But they took our matches,

snuffed out our flames and tell us we couldn't.

They tell us to take control

But they're all hypocrites.

In reality they hold the remote

and we're nothing but TV channels.

"Speak up! Let your voices be heard!"

We are speaking! and we are suffering.

Maybe it's time for you to shut up

and for once, listen.
