We Are All Just People Wearing Shirts

Location

When I look at people I see their shirts.

I do not know their name

or where they come from

or who their family is.

When I look at people I see the uniform they wear.

I do not know what they think

or what they feel

or what scars they have.

When I look at people I see

they slave that they are

to other people who wear shirts.

I do not know anything about them

but I see how tired they are.

When I look at people I see their shirts

and I see reflected in their nametag

me and my shirt.
