Water Lily

Orb of gold, amid a sea of green

Ripples roll past as sun sparks silver flashes on the waves,

A burst of white revealed as gold falls back,

small sun in the field of snow

Across the gently swirling green more gold gives way to white

Till far as eye can see are lilies and sunlight.
