Water and oil ...

Colossians 2:18

18 Let no one who delights in false humility and the worship of angels

pass judgment on you. That person goes on at great lengths about what

he has supposedly seen, but he is puffed up with empty notions by his fleshly mind.

Self-confidence in a Christian is nothing more than trusting

in his own intelligence ... thinking that he knows

Through tracking of the scriptures in effort and perseverance

then thinking that because of this ... he can secure the Lord

Whatever is natural ... stands all on its own

It does not understand the sphere ... of where it appeared from

It has nothing in common ... with what is deemed spiritual

It does not even now exist ... in the dimension where it came from

How will it be revealed by God … Who made the natural?

How is it possible ... to mix water and oil?

Heat it up through love and stir it through the practical

and as it cools a little it becomes a creamy balm unspoiled

We must give up our wisdom and our own righteousness

We must step out of self ... and let that part quickly die

Don’t let it linger on ... to keep bringing confusion

and visit that grave again ... to waste your time and cry
