Watching The Devil

If I could sleep I would have

If I could die I should have

Wishing I were with you, but is it selfish to want to?

The glint in your eye

No pain in your smile

How'd you end up with me?

He's here now

sleeping on my floor

Pretty soon he'll be in my bed

If you love me will you save me?

The answer is the wind in the trees

Never helping the girl through the glass

Monsters aren't under the bed

They're in your head

so I watch them, like I always have

The invisible witness standing by herself

a doll they placed on the shelf

My past holds me in it's arms

He holds me just to laugh at the harm

Nothing I do breaks our bonds

So I watch the chains slowly wrap around me

Until I

just

Can't

Breath
