Washed Away Kingdom

Fast cars, and football field yards

hummingbird souls fluttering their regards

to the estate's caretaker of lush green

ambiguous color meaning, whether it be

an envious mind or filthy old money

constructs platinum platters carrying

golden dreams served to heirs

on demand false love in the Hampton air

polo played, race tracks arrayed

for us to display our father's toys

sad to say our solemn kingdom

of elite reign will someday

fall over and blow away

weltering in the rolling waves

they wash away our very way

of life
