Wall

She feels, against her back, the brush of the wall.

A dangerous wall, one that is a hundred feet tall.

On the opposite side lies the desired answers.

 

There is vast vacancy on the side she's on.

This is all she's known, and her hope is nearly gone.

On the other side lies the desired answers.

 

Until one day, on the wall, she spots something strange,

providing her with a grain of bliss; she senses change.

On the other side lies the desired answers.

 

When she approaches, there is a burst of light.

She's met with the facets that will entail her plight.

On the other side lies the desired answers.

Simply written and wonderfully so- kinda reminds me of Shel Silverstein? It's got to be the rhyme scheme that makes it kind of whimsical in a way that feels good and foreboding at the same time. Good work, I'd love to see more.
