Volta

Oh ye of little faith

The chalice has finally broken

Though from your bow spills dark wine

Face the oncoming and glorious dawn

How full was the moon

On the night when all went wrong

They who mock you are terribly wrong

Stand firm in your new found love and faith

Smile politely to the followers of the moon

Those who sneer possess spirits that are broken

For they do not gaze into the breaking dawn

While they drink their bitter wine

Their judgment clouded by this poisonous wine

Astray they wander down the path gone wrong

Fleeing the reaching rays of the dawn

But surely now you shall hold onto faith

Lest not your resolve ever be broken

You sprint forward, to your back the pale blue moon

Though a luminous temptress that pale blue moon

Taste no longer of the bitter wine

And you shall soar above them with wings un-broken

To accept failure at this point would be wrong

Hold your head high in acknowledged faith

A soul now of bright colored dawn

Parties ongoing till the unwelcome dawn

By the light of the temptress moon

She cooly douses the flames of faith

And so they continue indulging in the poisnous wine

Drowning in fanstasy and reality distorted wrong

Souls splintered and broken

But may your back remain un-broken

Let your worries melt away by the light of the dawn

Charge forward with mirth and none can go wrong

Leave behind their mistress the moon

And refuse any cup laced with their bitter wine

Cleanse yourself in renewing faith

Your enchantment has been broken oh mistress moon

I choose the dawn and reject your wine

No longer wrong, my heart breathes new life through faith
