The Voice of a Wallflower

My voice, whether heard

Or swept away by the wind,

Is a force I won’t allow to be obscured.

As gentle and quiet as it may be,

I can’t imagine a life of silence.

Without it, I simply would not be me.

While my words may be infrequent,

They are not to be overlooked.

For it is my heart, that they represent.

My presence may not emit great power,

But that won’t stop me from dreaming

Of a future where I’m not longer

A quiet wallflower.
