Voice of Reason

Dilute my ways, they try
But when written in text it's as sacred as the bible's psalm
I hold each story captive
Each poem is my soul's refuge
I give voice to the intangible
You never knew her
Queen in old scrolls yet she is as present as a dark moon
Fill me with your malice, may your actions remain consumed
Full dinner plates with country
Diet for a slave
I give what I've been given
A voice echoed in open graves
