A Villanelle

Location

She was mysteriously pedaling through the rain,There was a basket covered and attached to bike,The raincoat that she wore was blue and plain.  What destination would she find in vain? And is it really something she would like? She was mysteriously pedaling through the rain.  A toad was hopping then across the lane,It did not know what was about to strike,The raincoat that she wore was blue and plain.  A barefoot jogger looking quite insane,Avoided tumbling straight into the dike,She was mysteriously pedaling through the rain.  Imagine if her name would be Elaine,And if the toad, perchance, was called Mad Mike,The raincoat that she wore was blue and plain.  And if the jogger’s name was Quiche Lorraine,Oh dear! Our poem sounds unsportsmanlike,She was mysteriously pedaling through the rain,The raincoat that she wore was blue and plain.
