On the verge

Colossians 2:2            New English Translation

2 My goal is that their hearts, having been knit together in love, may be encouraged, and tha] they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

On the verge

Into a never-ever land of a complete self-satisfaction

A land without borders in a landscape of constant changes

It absorbs you in a moment as you adapt to your surroundings

And you are swallowed up in its canyons and mountain ranges

Always on the verge of reaching your destination

But as expectations grow, it seems to move away

Always beyond your touch but not from observation

Knowing you won’t be satisfied in either night or day.

If choices are to be made just between black and white

It seems like a guarantee as you mostly seem well-defined

You’ll wait for just an instance till all things are out of sight

And that lever is for sure deeply within us deeply intertwined
