Venom

I am venomous, I will bite you and let the venom flow through your veins and call it love.
Your blood will clot, stop flowing and I will romanticize the feeling.
I will make it come off of the tip of my tongue like honey and things you never even heard of.
I will bring you enough pain to prevent you from ever healing.
It’s not like I mean to, I constrict your heart and turn it to dust while trying to embrace.
I am your prey yet you let yourself become vulnerable enough for me to predate.
I will tell you I love you and mean it and let our fingers enlace,
But I hope that you won't try to swallow me but perhaps if you do so it's only fate.
Maybe I wasn't meant to love but you make me want take my chances,
You slightly graze me with your teeth and I feel hypnotized,
Without even a sight of venom you have me falling for you no matter the circumstances.
Perhaps maybe I was wrong along and this wasn't really pain but love disguised.
I will let myself be vulnerable in hopes that you won't the opportunity to devour me,
I will try to trust this so called love, you and be carefree.
