A Veil Unraveled

Mon, 06/27/2016 - 21:33 -- zhajee

Silk veils surround the Earth

Veils not of protection

Rather veils of danger

Veils of destruction

Veils of insecurity

Ripping through the souls of

Breaking through the hearts of

Slicing through the minds of

Just the ordinary.

Silk veils surround the Earth

“It is unfair!” they cry

“It is so cruel!” they cry

But the veils do not disappear

Instead they sway from the breaths of

Just the ordinary.

Silk veils surround the Earth

Separating what was once one piece of mankind

But is now layers upon layers of pieces.

Pieces of

Just the ordinary.

Silk veils surround the Earth

Ignored by so many

Although their presence is so clear.

Skimmed by so many

Although they are made from all of the

Tears of

Anger of

Disgust of

Anguish of

Just the ordinary.

Silk veils surround the Earth

But they can be destroyed.

Destroyed by

The power of

Just the ordinary.
