The Valley of Demise

Sat, 06/22/2013 - 18:56 -- Tavia

I am at a loss for words, speechless

My mind is immobile, unable to start

I am seeing people, those who are no longer there

Or maybe they are dreams

Dead or alive, it does not matter, I will not survive.

Do not talk like that, I am here with you

I am as constant as the sun and moon

The trees in the forests that breathe pain

For they might be going insane, from the pollution

If events such as this do not matter to you

There are no cities, or buildings, or homes

The earth is ill and black.

What event are you speaking of

The acid rain that burns the dead

Or wait, the heat that has struck and is not over still

How do you survive in a world that is not well?

I will tell you, you might help, or you might not

You  might leave to never come back

It is all the same to me.

We cannot live here, you or me

The world as we know has been drowned in toxins ans debris

The smelly, smoldering, smog

Has penetrated and taken hold

And I can tell you, it will not let go.
