Valentine Sonnet

Location

Today I do not love you more because

A calendar dictates me to do so.

My love increases due to Time’s own laws,

Although Fourteen this day commands. I’ll go!

I’ll force the rest to bend their will to ours.

For it is not up to one of the twelve

To force upon us sweets, scented flowers,

Or paper memorabilia we delve

In too for only Cupid’s Day’s same game.

No, this is true, however, I love you more

Today, because my heart would not stay tame

Without your sweet embrace to make it soar.

So, Valentine, to you I give my heart

Wishing forever to never be apart.
