To Us.

Wed, 07/23/2014 - 13:42 -- Bcat6

Who's to say tragedies won't maim us,

Others won't blame us,

Or parents won't contain us?

Who's to say our enemies won't fight us

While our friends try to hide us?

And bystanders just ignite us.

But who's to say the stranger won't invite us?

And they won't mind the sight of us

Because they see the light in us.

And who's to say a mother won't adore us

When everyone else chose to deplore us?

There must be a person who cares for us.

But if we're ever caught alone,

We must try to make it known

That we can still reach a milestone.

Even if no one ever cared for us,

Nobody ever took the dare for us,

They all breathe the same air as us.

So we must make each other strong

And keep pushing ourselves along.

We must declare our lives to belong to us.
