Unworthy
Dear Dad,
Sometimes I wish I never met you.
1,000 miles used to be the only distance,
But now we're quite through.
And yet, I still think about your existence.
I think about all the memories we shared,
About all the times you acted like you cared.
Those memories were ripped away when you chose a new family.
I tried to reconnect, but I’m not a priority.
Sometimes I wish I never met you.
You've brought so much damage,
More than I can even manage.
You're the man that caused emotional baggagee
in me, my mom, and my sisters too.
Sometimes I just wish we never met you.
Then the memories wouldn’t taunt me
And we wouldn’t feel so unworthy.
Sincerely,
Unworthy.
