Untitled

I sit in silence with only the sound of my steady breathing to comfort me.

This place used to be so happy, full of laughter and smiles.

Now it's a place of isolation and loneliness.

People look through me into the next beside me,

Never meeting my eyes.

The genuineness is gone, it was never truly there if I'm honest with myself.

This place is an awkward shell of empty people who could care less about my well being.

All of the backhanded compliments and cheeky greeings have gotten to me.

Now the silence screams so loud like a thousand sirens bellowing for attention.

No one actually care for my presence and they make it so obvious.

All I wanted was to be included, to feel accepted into this new world.

But instead I was excluded from the crowd and left alone.
