Until We Blossom

Young and wild you were back then
Yet your stares so helpless and meek.
I asked for your name but what’s this I hear?
A beautiful sound came out as you speak.

You offered me your high-priced smile
That takes my burden off for a while.
Then a moment, we share each other’s pains
And lifted our spirits up for personal gains.

Yet as God allowed, He drifted us apart,
Surely in distance but not by heart.
The communication ironically grew strong,
Taking our ears on the phone for too long.

More laughter our mouths can shout,
Tangled with pains our eyes cried out.
Each missing days are quenched in misery
Yet a challenge for us to carry.

As time jogged by so fast,
A feeling in me that never last.
It says, “It’s your affection I dearly need,
I want your attention, please take time to heed.”

Another one blossomed as the friendship melted,
How could such feelings our hearts had led?
Unexpected, unreal and surreal is this so,
As my soul fleets and yearns for you more.

That one summer night, in the fields we walked.
Your face gleamed heartily as we talked.
Your innocent stares turned so passionate,
I couldn’t breathe right, you’re impossible to take.

And sincerely you asked, “Do you love me?
Because I have loved you even before.”
I was held speechless momentarily,
And couldn’t move my body any longer.

You and I anticipated this would happen
‘Cause we knew we’re more than just friends
My eyes sparked and replied, “I love you,
I can only see my forever with you too.”

Deep down in my heart, I thank God the most,
Of all the girls, I was the one He chose.
My lips drew a smile in satisfaction
As my soul leaps in which I couldn’t fathom.

Greater is He for making our paths cross
And fill the emptiness that has been lost.
Amazing is He for friendship so pure,
Engined with love, I was cured.

I said, “Let’s wait for God’s perfect time
Until you and I can the face the future bright
Even me too can’t wait to call you mine,
My love for you is worth to fight.

Let’s help each other grow in truth and spirit
So God can reward us with all love can merit.
I’ll pray for your life to continually shine
And for our love, in marriage will bind.”

Now this may be the result of our fellowship sweet,
How happy was I, God allowed us to meet.
I’m praying our love would last forever
And hold hands with God together.”
