Unspoken Cries

Love,

How can you be so bitter to me

Yet so sweet to others

Am I not worth your love?

Has time erased the painful awakening of ourselves

From your mind

Do you not dream of our eyes locking

And our hands intertwined?

Fiercely woven with love

Am I alone in these thoughts

These haunting thoughts

That have made it impossible to think of anyone but you

Of a future without you on my bed

Caressing worries away

Like you are not the cause

The past and future no longer make sense

But you, no matter what

You are recurring

Always present in every waking moment

That has brought me pain

And at times great enlightenment

How can you be so cruel love,

When we were once so?
