The Unspeakable Deed

There was no other way out I could see
No other way to do the unspeakable deed
I had to set the demon free,
All it did was scream at me.
Nobody suspected the demon would win
Until everything took a terrible spin
He was 0-3, but still, he had a wicked grin,
He knew that there would be no kin.
His victory brought out a smile
All I could do was stare for awhile
I watched as time went by in a vile
As he kept out that wicked smile.
I took the pills
They made me ill
As he watched my blood spill
The darkness continued to fill
I stared at the face of death
He mumbled under his breath
Wishing me for certain death
A surprise for him when I took a breath.
I sat up with a burst of strength
Then got up to my full length.
I felt as though he was making me walk the plank
As I got up I backed away and slank.
It was over, I had won
He could no long say he was "the one."
