Unsolicited Habits

Sat, 01/13/2018 - 11:49 -- navy109

A desire for independence.

Sometimes fulfilled,

Usually not in the right way.

Hoards of secrets.

All written out somewhere,

But never found.

Designated “safe spaces”

Where words can flow,

In private or in anonymity.

A lack of communication

With family, friends, mentors;

Glossing past what’s important.

Explosions of confessions.

At first – insignificant.

Later – unraveling.

A small percentage shared.

The courage to say it all, though,

Requires complete acceptance.
