Rising to the sounds of freedom,
Rights unearthed by the righteous ones.
A leader stands on the hill before his kingdom,
Crowds are roaring, he looks out to the sun.
“I have a dream today”, he said.
Martin Luther King Jr. heeded to the visions of peace,

A world filled with friendship among races for the greater good.
A world that embraced unconditional love.
A world that children can play in with each other.

A respected and distinguished soldier of freedom,
In one hand lays wisdom and the other pain,
Joseph Lowery worked to relinquish the chains,
The cold, sorrowful agony of discrimination,
He could not take it any longer.
