The Unknown

Location

Three graves alone

in a cemetary

the only thing remarkable

is they are wood, not stone.

Three dead people

Though no one knows who

Their names long lost

the wood that bore them once

has now worn away

like the people beneath

where they lay.

Yet those people still wait

For someone to miss them,

To lay flowers on their grave,

To cry for their loss.

But nobody comes

For they are the unknown.

They just wait...

And watch...

And listen...

And hope...

For someone to miss them.
