A united people.

We call ourselves a united people,
United for the cause of goodness,
But are we really united?

A united people do not laugh at each other when they need to come together for each other
A united people do not gossip about each other
A united people do not backstab each other
A united people do not discriminate
A united people are not divisive
A united people do not build walls
A united people do not kill

A united people do not see each other downtrodden and ignore it,
Saying, 'It isn't my problem,'
Or, 'Someone else will help him.'

A united people help each other,
They support each other,
They build bridges and welcome each other.
Make each other feel better about themselves
They bring each other in and love.
They do not ignore each other,
They say, 'I will happily help you, because you are worth it, you are worth the time.'

Are you a person united for the cause of goodness?
I would like to say that I am,
But if I did,
I would be lying,
But, I would like to become a part of this united people.
Wouldn't you?
