Understanding the Game (with quotes taken from novel Brave New World)

Skies are blue inside of you”                                                                         90

“Don’t you wish you were free, Lenina?”                                                   91

I don’t know what he means

I was appalled by the emptiness of the night                                           90

The black foam flicker, the pale face of the moon, so haggard and distracted among the hastening clouds

He’d thought we’d be more together here                                                            91

It’s such horribly bad form to go on and on like this.                               41

He wants to know what passion is                                                              94

He wants to feel something strongly

“Don’t you like being with me?”                                                                  91

I don’t understand.                                                                                       94

But one’s got to play the game.                                                                   43

I am free. Free to have the most wonderful time.                                                 91

After all, everyone belongs to everyone else.                                             43

That is, if he’ll have me.                                                                                58
