Unbreakable

As tears slowly fell from her eyes

The paper written with our next future step

“RENT DUE”

Slips from her hands

She looks at us and says “We have to move again”

Again? Again? Again?

After nine moves, the thought “again” was dreadful

As each box appeared and items disappeared we only had each other

Making us a little more

Unbreakable

Pencils, papers, books found everywhere

School was our escape from the burden of finance

Each A earned on our report cards

Each sport game won

Each club joined

Was the ticket to improve ourselves

Making us a little more

Unbreakable
