Unborn Child: A Letter

Dear child, this is your daddy, I wonder how you been
I hope that your social and making a whole bunch of friends
Cause making friends is a real big part of life
It's probably the way I met your mother, and hopefully my wife
I hope you grow up healthy, wise, and strong
And to be able to follow right and steer away from wrong
And to be able to have memories that you can always share
And have a loving family through everything will always care
Now to be truthful, I don't know if you'll even exist
Because your dear dad wasn't good with the girls, there's a lot of truth in this
But if you do exist, there is something I want you to do
Read this poem and know that I will always love you
I want you to be better than me in every which way
To grow up to be independent and surpass me one day
Through the rough times I promise we'll make it through
Dear child, from your dear old dad, I can't wait to meet you.
