Two Eyes,One Thought, and a Voice.

What I see is not what I had imagined.

They tell me that what I see is only what my eyes allow me to see.

They don't know that I can think.

I think of everything and I see the truth.

I use to dream of sunflowers or rainbows.

For a short while that's all I was able to see.

I shielded my sister, and sunflowers or a rainbow, which is all she saw.

How could it be that at such a young age we are given a mask.

Not to hide who we are, but what we see.

I ripped off the mask and I felt a sense of betrayal.

They hid secrets from me and they...

lied to me.

They say it was for my protection.

They say...

I say tell me.

I have two eyes, one thought, and a voice.

Tell me.

I imagined something greater only to find out it was something far worse.

My sister and I being filled with wrong.

I tried to peel her mask back, but when I screamed for her to awake.

She fell in line.

She turned to me only to whisper,

"They said it is for my protection"

NO!

Listening to me!

You can be who you want to be and live the life you want.

You don't need to be hidden by any one.

That mask isn't to hide you, it's to hide the truth you are suppose to see.

I imagined something different.

They hid it from me thinking I would never know, but I know.

I have two eyes, one thought, and a voice.

Let me use it.

Let my sister use it.

Let the children use it.

This is our gift.
