People twist the perception of life

The same way that they twist 

How they see themselves in the mirror 

When you’re looking so close up 

At not a very good angle 

You may only be able to notice 

All the negative aspects and features

Take a few steps back

Now take a look

Notice the positives 

Even if they are only little things

They are still positives

Change your perception 

From being so close up 

Only looking at the negatives 

To looking at the whole picture

And noticing all of the positives

Life is truly what you make of it

If you only notice the negatives

You’ll waste your life away

Wondering why there are no positives 

Feeling like the world is against you

When those positive you desired

Were actually there all along

All that you needed to do 

Was change your perception
