TV: We know better now

1 John 5:19 New English Translation (NET Bible)

19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

TV: We know better now

Pictures of decay flashing as life and death seem to co-exist

Some defeated as a dream while others cling and persist

Darkness hides the ray of day, misery seems triumphant

Commercials interrupt this array to show realistic wanting

Reality stroked here and there in its own contradiction

Bringing a smile on the face of the totally misunderstood

Folks now everywhere with their own affliction

Comparing their own fate with someone else’s good

All in all a price somewhere has to be paid in full

Upper and lower class then will appear all the same

It’s not if someone tries or just living the chosen fool

But who will really pass the test since life is not a game

Absolutely! Eloquent and timely. Your poetry sheds light on global issues with truth, a vividness and excellent poetics. Take a look at my recent, " Survive Alive " and Shattered Globe." I think you'll appreciate them.
