A Tulip Among Roses

She wasn't where she belonged
That broken home was gone
She found herself lost in a new patch
Among the holier than thous if you will
But she was strong willed
She was a tulip in a rose garden forever out if place
But a delicate flower among delicate flowers they should love one another
They do share the same fate
But no her story I wasn't there for it all
But I was there for the fall
She went through pure hell just so she could make ends meet
Going back and forth switching houses and families
She did a few things to stay safe
Even lied and said she was happy which wasn't the expression on her face
But see I loved her regardless of the stress level
The bulls*** she was going through
I stayed with her too
Nurtured a smile back onto her face
Even when I knew she wanted to say
I quit
This world is too much and there's nothing left for me
When she cried on the phone with her I listened
And gave her comfort... we
Would talk for hours about nothing and we'd joke about Clayton County
Now she's not here she's somewhere else dealing with that harsh rose garden family
A tulip among roses
A delicate flower among delicate flowers
Out of place she grew
But she still finds a reason to smile...
