True Freedom

 Darkness, hopelessness and Despair,

Freezing at night yet no one cares,

The feeling that you have no rights,

And the fact that you have to go to sleep in fright.

Its an enemy that haunts them,

They know its there,

they also know their circumstances are unfair,

people need to look upon their faces,

and remember with circumstances come changes.

You could wake up tomorrow as the CEO,

And wake up the next and no one will know,

Because people don’t look and wonder about your past,

They only look at you as if you are second-class.

America is the land of the free,

But how is that when even our veterans have nothing to eat,

Yet I have faith in the United States,

I know they’ll get a hold of these homelessness rates.

I also know the change won’t happen over night,

Yet I fear for the people that freeze at night.

If I could change it all right now

I would make sure that every persons life was sound, and

Homelessness wouldn’t be around.

it would have just have been something of the past

and everyone would finally be free at last.
