Trials

Mon, 02/08/2016 - 11:25 -- ohaven

When trials are headed our way

We wait in vain for someone else to pick us up

Our selfishness overcomes our consciousness

And we fall even deeper into darkness

Life isn’t always daisies and roses

There are bullet wounds, heart aches, and death

When trials are headed our way

“All hope is lost”

 We compromise our beliefs

Self-confidence deteriorates

Trials are often unexpected

And seem to come at the worst of times

When trials are headed our way

Imperfection’s power blinds us

The mind wanders to places that break us down

We forget what really matters

Our world
