The Tree Is Me

Dear Tree,
In this forest, I see you every day,
Among those that try to stay away.
You stand so different from everyone,
Just as I do, Hun.
We are strangers,
We are wrong.
We are outcasts,
And to others, we are gone.
Gone from sight,
Gone from mind.
It’s just not right,
So let’s rewind.
In a forest,
It is you I see,
Since you are me.
With love, Yourself.
