The Traveling Philosophizing Travel Writer-Philosopher Human

Location

To live!

To feel!

Rejoice in every sound and sight of each and every forgotten and forsaken place!

To travel, lift my skinny fists to the sky, and write about it!

To capture my evasive thoughts and feelings and experiences, how transient they are, and declare them to the world!

To face each and every gathering storm and each and every rising sun! to not live vicariously, but to live! To live, man, live!

How done I am with the cyclical nature subscribed to me! how done I am with the common desk and trivialities!

To write from mountains, Mizen head, and monsoons! from exotic bays, Barcelona, and hot air balloons!

To wake and meet the phenomena of man! Not the American man, but man! You, man, you! The world and all we have reaped!

Let me laugh over Indian seas! Let me be lonely in Borneo! Let me go and let me breathe- give me space, give me space, give me space! Oh, to shake hands with the human race!

The pen - a broom! To dust away the lines between a job and a life and suddenly - one comes from two!

To make the most of this life, to find meaning in its pain and its pleasures, to embrace the world in its extravagance and its complexity - and to write about it, oh, to write about it...

See, man, see! I am a human, and humans sometimes live and always die. Some go on to buy houses, televisions, and cars! Some will make much money and some will not - but see, man, see! That is not the life for me! All we are born with is all we have got!

So see, man, see! Function has replaced meaning, but the world is here and the world is now and one day either you or it will be gone. So to see it and record it- man, what a job!

See, man, see! I am a human, and humans sometimes live and always die! Some will empty themselves out and some will work, work, work without realizing finality, not money, gives meaning to life! But man, oh man, to be a travel writer! Oh, what a job and what a life! To make sure when my time is here, there are words left to live and a human left to die!
