Trapped

She lost her sense of light.

She might not make it home tonight.

She lost her sense of hope.

Around her neck she tightens the rope.

She lost her confidence in life.

Through her heart she drives the knife.

Behind the mask of greed,

All she wants is to be freed.

When she turns out her lights,

She never lets death stray from her sights.

At night she stays awake and cries,

Never forgetting all their lies.

Her friends plead and beg,

But she only sees herself as a plague.

Thinking of her friends as they weep,

She begins to never sleep.

Nearly non-stop she cries,

Until she snaps and inevitably dies.
