the tower

If there is anytning I regret, it is that I held back,

I didn't tell you all I wanted to say.

I wanted you to see me for who I am,

but these walls just kept growing higher.

They seemed my protection.

But with high security

meant less room to explore.

I should've ventured out from my tower with confidence

and maybe even pent up curiosity.

Instead I accepted my newfound fate and dwelled on the one I was throwing away.
