Too late ...?

1 Corinthians 13:12 New English Translation (NET Bible)

12 For now we see in a mirror indirectly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known.

Nighttime now a way of life

Darkness used a critical glow

Folks are dancing through the night

Wasting time and lots of dough

Others sleeping under the bridge

Feeding mosquitos without thought

Who really made a world like this?

With whose pains this great onslaught

Dressed up like the queen of hearts

The unborn church glitters in the sun

Hard as marble this house of cards

That one day crumbles and is gone

Destiny grimaces not too far

A few more steps and we are there

Lives then lived far below par

And will be destroyed everywhere

“I did not know” a familiar sigh

“I really wanted to be different

All now heard are bitter cries

Too late to change… left with a pittance
