Today

Matthew 6:34

34 So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Today has enough trouble of its own.

Today

You can call everyone in a disagreement disgusting in name

You feel right in a world gone wrong ... and suffer through it

A major statement then will be ... “I love and respect them all”

And you won’t see the guile ... as there is no one here to prove it

Today is here although it’s dark ... how do I know it to be true?

It’s got to be, this is what I feel and my past showed me through

I came from nowhere or did I know ... do I really have a clue?

Before I stepped in the temporal ... in Eternal was I with you?

There is a time to reason ... and a time to be still

A time to sit and listen ... to the voice from within

It gets lost too often ... in the turmoil of the day

and does not surface until our night has been

A life without direction ... lived from year to year.

It is very strange ... that we turn out that way

The soft voice of our Maker ... and the Holy Spirit

ignored through the ages ... until the end of day
