Times Change

Things were different back then,
your parents had to approve of your friend.
My grandpa says race doesn't mix,
Yazmin is my best friend.

That's why I care what no one thinks,
it's us against the world I say with not a blink.
We'll move to a place where no one stares,
Yazmin and I just don't care.
