Thus Ends the Night

A rose

of black proportion

pricks

a maiden

fair.

Down flows

the blood,

rivulet of darkened

love.

Drop

by

drop.

Fill the void,

drains the girl

outright.

The pale moon

shines,

illuminates

blood red sea.

Salty pain.

Love inflamed.

Flair throughout

the night.

The wraith

up looks

to share

with the stars

her fading

light.

And thus

Ends

The night.
